We are again proud to support the Latin American & Iberian Studies Film and Culture Series.
The Fall 2015 lecture series Diaspora & Transnationalisms included a talk by North Carolina State University's Akram Khater on October 14th. Articles on UDaily and The Review give details of Dr. Khater's lecture and video of his presentation is available on the CAS YouTube channel.
"Left Turns, Right Reactions in Latin America" - A lecture by Kent Eaton on the leftist outcomes of recent elections in Latin America. Monday October 26, 2015. This lecture was featured in UDaily.
"The Current Refugee Crisis in Europe" - A Faculty Roundtable Discussion on Europe's Humanitarian Challenge. Tuesday November 10th, 2015. More information here.
"The Enlightened Monarchy: The Habsburg Empire and the European Restoration, 1815-1848" - The European Studies Program presented Franz Leander Fillafer of the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. Thursday December 3, 2015.
Asian Studies presented several lectures on Environmental Change in Asia in April 2016.
All Area Studies programs held events in the Center's Global April month.
