The University of Delaware’s College of Arts and Sciences
(CAS) has honored four accomplished graduates with its annual Alumni
Achievement Award, recognizing a diverse array of professional success and
public service.
The honorees represent class years from 1972 to 2004 and have
excelled in careers focused on creativity, scientific research, medicine and
the law. The recipients were selected for the award in 2020, but restrictions
imposed by the COVID pandemic delayed the formal announcement until this month.
“These outstanding alumni reflect the remarkable talents,
achievements and successes that we find across the College of Arts and
Sciences,” said John A. Pelesko, dean of the College. “Their exceptional
contributions to their professions, their communities, the College and the
University advance our mission and inspire us all. They are among the best of
the best, and we are proud to honor them.”
The honorees have all remained engaged with the College in a
variety of ways, including speaking to classes about their own career paths,
supporting student scholarships and other initiatives, serving on the Dean’s
Advisory Council and mentoring undergraduates.
