University of
Delaware students are invited to get musically involved on campus this
year and satisfy degree breadth requirements while doing so. Regardless
of major, the UD School of Music invites interested students across
campus to audition for the following ensembles (listed next to their
respective practice times during the 2021-22 academic year):
Choral Ensembles
- Concert Choir - Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 12:30-1:45 p.m.
- Schola Cantorum - Tuesdays, from 7:30-10 p.m.
- University Singers - Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2-3:15 p.m.
- Chorale Meets - Mondays and Wednesdays, from 4:40-6:40 p.m.
Bands
- Wind Ensemble - Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4:30-6:45 p.m.
- Symphonic Band - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2-4 p.m.
- Collegiate Band - Fridays, 2:30-4:30 p.m. (spring only)
- Basketball Pep Band - TBD (spring only)
Orchestras
- Symphony Orchestra - Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2-4:15 p.m.
- Chamber Orchestra - Wednesdays, from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
- University Strings - Thursdays, from 7:30-9 p.m.
Jazz
- Jazz Ensemble I - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 12:20-1:10 p.m.
- Jazz Ensemble II - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 2:30-3:20 p.m.
- Jazz Chamber Ensembles - flexible meeting times
Instrumental Ensemble Auditions
Please note that choral ensemble auditions will be held virtually
this year. Instrumental ensemble auditions will be held Sunday and
Monday, Aug. 29-30.
