Biography
As events manager for the Dean’s Office, Coleen works with the Dean’s Senior Leadership Team and departments within CAS to strategize, prioritize and execute events that highlight College of Arts and Sciences exceptional faculty, students, staff, and alumni, as well as the College’s research, collaborations, teaching and achievements. Coleen has more than 25 years’ experience in the hospitality and events industry, working as a convention director, program director, special projects coordinator and membership services manager. Prior to coming to UD, she worked for the National Down Syndrome Congress, Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Philadelphia Sports Congress. She serves as a trustee for the Delaware Foundation for Reaching Citizen’s with Disabilities and served on the Board of the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware where she chaired the Buddy Walk committee which raised nearly $1M under her leadership. Coleen earned her bachelor’s degree from Temple University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree from UD’s Lerner College of Hospitality and Business Management. In her spare time, she enjoys her very active family, travelling, volunteering for Special Olympics and relaxing on the beach.
